Courses are delivered by commercially experienced professionals and are available to anyone who wishes to attain new qualifications or seeks refresher courses in a highly professional and commercial setting.
The DTE Academy was initially established to serve the internal training criteria of Down To Earth Trees Ltd, one of the first and largest multi-disciplinary arboricultural contracting firms in the UK.

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-Chipper
City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Tree Climbing and Rescue
Our instructors are experienced and extensively educated on the industry latest practices and regulations. Expect to learn not only the base skills included in the assessment criteria of each course, but also soft skills that can help you begin a thriving career in forestry and arboriculture.
We provide hot breakfast, lunch and hot drinks throughout the day, allowing trainees to socialise and share ideas as a group.
Our Selection Process
Each candidate must pass a selection questionnaire and possibly a short telephone interview prior to admission. The Academy is an elite training organisation and it is our goal to ensure all students get the most out of every course.
